Breast Implant Explantation

Breast Implant Explantation Abbotsford
Though getting breast implants is one of the most popular cosmetic operations not all patients want to keep their implants. Having a breast implant explantation allows the patient to go back to their natural breasts before they had implants. This operation is commonly combined with a mastopexy to take away the excess skin that may have developed to give room for the implants.

In your complimentary one-on-one consultation with Dr. Brown, he will discuss:

  • If you are a good candidate for breast implant explantation
  • Determine your goals for the surgery
  • What to expect before and after your surgery
  • What your breast will look like after surgery and if you would benefit from a lift
  • What incision will be used
  • The benefits and potential risks of having your implants removed

During your consultation Dr. Brown will go over exactly what he will do during the surgery. This will include discussing how he performs a complete “en-bloc” capsulectomy, what cultures swabs will be taken, what is done with the implants after surgery and the photos that will be taken during surgery.

Once your consultation is completed you will be given a quote for the surgery, this quote is good for one year. This quote includes the fee for Dr. Brown, the clinic, the anesthetist and all follow up appointments. The quote does not include the cost of your at home post-op medications nor does it include sending your implants and capsules to a pathologist other than our local pathologists.
